Together we are strong
Help for people with disabilities in Uganda
We are
We are an association of people who have been professionally involved in the development and further development of offers for people with disabilities for years.
Helping people with disabilities is a matter close to our hearts.
The UN Disability Rights Convention is a milestone on this path.
For the first time, rights and principles of assistance for people with disabilities are being laid down and standards are being defined worldwide.
In less developed countries in particular, such as Uganda, however, the living conditions of people with disabilities are often more than precarious.
A public service of general interest, as it seems natural to us, is largely non-existent.
Help for people with disabilities there is usually private, personal emergency assistance.
People with disabilities have few opportunities to make a living.
Ultimately, all that remains is to survive, begging for alms.
Medical or psychosocial care and support for people with disabilities are completely alien, especially in rural areas.

Our work

A strong network
With over 2000 active believers, our church community forms a reliable community. In this way we can stand up for problems such as refugee aid and women's rights in the region and work directly with those affected.

Medical support
in everyday life
We try not to neglect elderly and sick members of our community in everyday life. To this end, our volunteers seek close contact with clinics and nursing homes.

Integration instead of exclusion
The topic of charity is not an abstract concept, but rather direct communication and support. That is why we in our community pay special attention to keeping social contact alive within the community.
With and for one another
